Blasts hit Shiite Muslims in Pakistan; 25 killed

Islamabad - Two successive suicide blasts targeting Shiite Muslims killed at least 25 people in Pakistan's port city of Karachi on Friday, officials said. The explosions, which took place less than two hours apart, came as the Shiite community marked the 40th day of Ashura that commemorates the seventh-century death of the Prophet Mohammed's grandson, Imam Hussain.

Sagheer Ahmad, health minister in Sindh province of which Karachi is the capital, said 25 people were killed and over 100 injured in the two attacks
