Omar Rashaad Bey, 33, a Philadelphia man met a 15 yr old Philadelphia girl on the internet. They united through an Islamic Marriage with her parent’s consent and moved to Cairo, Egypt. Bey returned to the U.S. but the girl stayed in Egypt.
The girl became pregnant and delivered a son. Being a US citizen, she applied for a passport for her 1 yr son at the US Embassy in Cairo. This is when the scheme was exposed.
According to the federal law of U.S., it is a crime for a U.S. citizen to travel aboard and have sex with underage girl.
Apparently, Mr. Bey not only married a teenage girl following the footstep of the prophet of Islam, he also fulfilled the other Islamic law of having up to four wives.
Bey appeared in the court wearing skullcap, white rob and sandals, a traditional Muslim outfit. He admitted to having sex with two other teenage girls in Egypt and impregnating one more teen age girl. Although not currently married, Bey has fathered a total of 12 children. The age of the children is between 6 months and 15 yrs.
Bey was charged with 3 counts of engaging illicit sex in foreign countries. He remained free on an unsecured $100,000 bond.
Defense attorney Fortunato Perri Jr. said the families of all the girls gave permission to have relationship with Bey.

On the ninth anniversary of 9/11, at least 2,000 protestors gathered near Ground Zero to protest a plan for building a mosque near 9//1 site.
The protestors protested peacefully. However, one of the attendees was seen to rip off the pages of a Quran and offered the by passers to use as a toilet paper.
Twelve people were killed when several missiles were fired by a suspected US drone targeting militants in north-west Pakistan, security officials said.
The pre-dawn attack - the third in less than 24 hours - took place in Dargah Mandi village near Miranshah, the main town in North Waziristan province.
The attack was directed at Pakistan-based Haqqani group, officials said.
It is the 12th drone strike this month in the region, a stronghold of the Taliban and al-Qaeda.
The attacks have killed hundreds of people since January 2009 and fuelled anti-American sentiment in the country.
'Panic'
Reports said the drones fired at least 10 missiles. Many people were reported injured in the attack.
Residents said there was panic in the village as the drones were heard just before dawn.
"As the US drones came over the village people started shouting and running here and there, shouting - run, drones have come," news agency AFP quoted a local tribesman as saying. အျပည့္အစုံဖတ္မယ္.. ဒန္.. ဒန္.. ဒန္
